从茶叶罐特征出发而衍生出四款IP人物,其中角色有关茶行业及“小罐茶”注重的商务上班类型的客户角色。从更年轻的视角,设计出年轻人喜欢的可爱人物。 茶叶包装方面沿用原品牌特色,针对年轻化体验客户,糅合IP形象注入新视觉感受。 差距方面运用模具化理念,将来可设计单个“单元”做销售策略,为不需要整套茶具配套设计,另一方面也符合年轻人个性化的选择需求。此茶具设计沿用原“小罐茶”商务茶具特色优点,针对客户需求,做出相应调整;色彩方面可再做多种选择的调整或延伸,根据品牌故事或推广方向(如,节日送礼茶具等)开发出更多个性化的色彩搭配。

茶的本质不在于复杂冗长的茶事,而在于或独酌或与朋友相处的娴静时光,是对美好时刻的品味。从这一点上来说岂不是跟年轻人恰好契合?年轻人时刻想要汲取每一刻时光的力量。如此说来又怎么能说茶不属于年轻人呢?在设计中,我尝试着把年轻人熟悉的感知时光的方式,例如手账等跟茶结合。让时光故事凝结于小罐上,让意义有形可依。与此同时,设计中也凝结了互动的元素,增加喝茶过程中的趣味。茶具设计的重点不在于茶具,而在于茶具如何展示茶的美,如何让人们注意到茶的美,从而让年轻人感觉到茶内在跳跃的活力。

‘You can’t tell how strong the tea is until you pour in some hot water.’ Water is an essential part of life on earth and to us as a human being. Many people have a hard time drinking water throughout the day. it’s one of those things that you are supposed to do but you don’t do it. Without water neither anyone would survive nor the planet will flourish. One does forget to drink water but a tea lover never misses a chance to forget drinking a cup of tea. The tea we drink regularly also gets its beauty by brewing it with water. Here my inspiration is from this beautiful source of life on earth in the form of a water droplet. Here, the Shape of the tea set is inspired from these Droplets. Droplets have a beautiful organic form which one appreciates whenever one sees. Be it in its liquid state during a rain fall or it’s solid state in the frozen form which looks spectacular just cause it’s luminous nature. Whereas the graphics is inspired from the flow of water / water movement , which again is very organic in nature. Together they form the base of the design. The graphics on the tea jars are denoted with different colors to differentiate between tea flavours.. The packaging colors are inspired from Yin and Yang and how balance and color has an impact not just just visually but can increase brand recognition and loyalty. Black and white are two colors which goes hand in hand .. Where Black speaks about strength, power and authority, white is directly linked to that which is righteous, good and peaceful..

Drinking tea is our common daily habit. Sometimes in order to get a cup of tea quickly, brewing with a tea bag seems to be the most convenient way. But the market packaging is not rigorous or tea foam more or wet after tea, no place to place tea bags; or tea drinking experience is not good. 茶文化是我国特有的一种文化。为了提升年轻人对于茶更高的关注度。我们从茶的香味入手。在如今新时代充满各种文化碰撞的氛围中,我们坚信年轻人的消费水平会趋向于消费级。我们在学习茶叶的制作过程中发现,制作一罐茶叶的工序和香水有着类似的地方。都是从采摘到晾晒,提取植物的精华等一系列工艺。所以我们的主要理念就是茶叶的“气味”。 茶叶的罐子颜色主要根据不同的茶叶所具有的颜色而提取。外包装上面的三个不同颜色的圆形则分别是茶叶汤色的相近色,茶叶罐的颜色,还有根据前两个颜色生成的最深色构成渐变组色块。完美的呈现出小罐茶三个字。以延续之前包装的感觉,更加延续产品的熟悉感。内部包装采用手绘这种亲切的方式表达出每种茶叶独特的香气。比如果香、栀子香 等等。不但美观,还可以让大家了解到茶叶的相关知识。就像是香水的前调、中调和后调。让年轻人用熟悉的方式去了解茶文化,分享茶文化。

这款小茶罐结合故宫这一鲜明的中国元素进行包装设计,充分体现中国品牌的文化宣传与情感表达。 对于年轻一代,这种包装方式不仅会让我们联想到属于我们青年一代的童年回忆,更包含了我们对未来生活的美好向往与憧憬。 杯子名为通古,灵感来源于新时代时期的彩纹陶器, 古器新作,我们希望重新诠释这款陶器来让它焕发新的活力。 This small tea pot is designed with the distinct Chinese elements of the Forbidden City, which fully embodies the cultural propaganda and emotional expression of Chinese brands. For the younger generation, this kind of packaging not only reminds us of the childhood memories of our younger generation, but also contains our yearning for a better life in the future. The cup is named tonggu, which is inspired by the colored pattern pottery in the new era. It is a new work of ancient ware, and we hope to reinterpret this pottery to revitalize it.

茶文化的发展经历了“煎茶、点茶、泡茶”的发展历程,而小罐茶在茶文化上所展现的历史性、时代性、国际性正是对茶文化发展历程的诠释。 因此在小罐茶系列产品的设计中应当继续展现这三个方面的特点,该作品通过选用几何图案以“形”展现了“清、静、怡、真”的历史性特征;又以黑、白、灰的配色,在满足功能性的同时又满足了审美性,展现了其时代性特征;最后以低调、奢华的整体风格,充分考虑了不同地域不同阶层的受众,展现了其国际性特征。

When looking at their life, they are eager to have something for enjoying themselves or being able to enjoy themselves. In addition, they share something what they are enjoy through SNS (Social Network Service) like Instagram. This phenomenon means that what they want to enjoy need to express individualities by itself. However, the culture of TEA is lack of elements to satisfy their curiosity and desire. It fundamentally needs rather lots of equipments and processes to enjoy themselves. Also, it is optimized to enjoy with someone. Currently, there are lots of efforts to enjoy the culture of tea easily. But those are concentrated on equipments for enjoying tea. In other words, those are not enough to solve the fundamental issues (complex process and lack of individuality continuously) to absorb young generations into the culture of tea. So, we looked into the past and the present elements of Xiao Guan Cha, as well as the desire of young generation. Those analyses are the basis to propose newly transformed system which can stimulate the emotion of young generation. Our proposal is a design for the whole processes from the first moment consumer receives the package to the last moment consumer upload the image or video clip on SNS. The design will be with the consumer's emotions in the process with Restraint – Reversal – Surprise, which can touch their curiosity and desire. Our proposal will go beyond the solution of the fundamental issues and the current equipment in all aspects of Xiao Guan Cha (Company) and consumer. We call our proposal as ‘溫故知新’ which would be new guide toward the tomorrow in the time flow of Xiao Guan Cha.

千禧一代生活在一个五光十色的视觉年代。热烈的,清冷的,各种情感的宣泄通过颜色来表达。历史与当下、古老与鲜活的碰撞之下,茶文化想要重获新生,就应从传统的色即是空的禅道走入食色性也的饮食男女中。彩色小罐的设计,就是为了扩充传统茶道哲学内涵,茶之味,浓淡皆宜,除了修心忍性,又何妨及时行乐?

颜文字茶罐/茶具

颜文字是多语言符号的集合体,可谓是“最通用的文字”。颜文字也是互联网的衍生品,千禧一代与z世代作为互联网的原住民,更是对颜文字倍感熟悉。本作品采用颜文字作为图案印在罐子上,更容易吸引年轻族群的注意。 罐子45°倾斜设计改变传统“垂直拿放”的动作,意在让人们喝茶前“慢下来、静下来”;同时在打开包装盒的瞬间让人不用改变视角就能看到罐身的图案和顶部的标签。 包装盒上选用的是最原始的几个颜文字,可以说是现代颜文字的始祖了。彩色的颜文字点缀使得整体包装简约而不单调。

Tea consumption has increased as a younger consumer base sees it as a fashionable drink. Tea is bringing different groups of people and generations together. This is what our designs are focusing on—connections(连). Tea is versatile. It can be drunk hot or cold, in different forms, and with unique ingredients added to it. We’ve designed a tea set called “Tea Bag” to reflect the versatility of tea, a fashionable handbag specially created for tea lovers. It allows you to enjoy your tea anytime, anywhere. The lids were created to take on a simplified form of lotus leaves, which also is pronounced lián(莲); where our name comes from. In recent years, many brands went through rebranding. When being rebranded, many brands decide to refresh and modernize their visual look while preserving their tradition and history. It is essential, as people resonate with the original brand, but would also like to see a move into the future. Our Tea Tasting kit reflects this—We’ve tried to connect the past with the present by merging the traditional with the modern. The form of our tea jar was inspired by traditional bamboo tea scoop. The end of this container is perfect for putting the correct amount of tea into the teapot. Lastly, the traditional Chinese art style has been reinterpreted in modern illustrations. These glue-less paper sleeves wrap around the box and unfolding it creates a mini poster; people can write short notes on the bottom thus encouraged to keep it rather than throwing it way.

BULLET TEA AN INNOVATIVE SHAPE FOR THE TEACUP THAT ALLOWS THE YOUNG PEOPLE TO DRINK EASILY ANY BEVERAGE. THE SHAPE OF THE ALUMINUM TEACUP IS OVAL AND CLOSED TO KEEP THE TEA WARM INSIDE. IT IS POSSIBLE TO CARRY THE TEACUP IN THE SPECIAL CONTAINER OR EVEN IN THE POCKET. THE MODULAR PACKAGE IS EASY, COOL, FLEXIBLE AND HAS MULTIPLE USES. IT IS COMPOSED OF THREE LEVELS AND EACH CAN BE USED SEPARATELY WITH THE SAME COVER THAT IS SUITABLE FOR ALL. JAR, TEA CUP AND ALL THE PACKAGES ARE IN ALUMINUM. TWO DIFFERENT TEA PACKAGE ONE FOR THE WHOLE SUIT AND ONE IN A BULLET TO CARRY ON THE POCKET. BULLET WITH TEA SACHET OR TEA LEAVES.

中国茶叶市场正处于向更为现代化、多元化和年轻化的消费趋势转型。要求产品创新、时尚、现代、方便、具有深度的文化体验。我希望可以给人们创造一种交互式的彩色小罐茶,小罐茶产品更加的亲近用户本身,不再是与以往简单的喝茶方式相同,是丰富茶文化与体验产品的过程。所以我将小罐茶与古代的七巧板相结合,去打造属于自己的小罐茶并且合理的利用包装,不再是只具有单一的功能。让产品与用户产生情感联系,在使用完茶叶后,让包装继续延续功能。给予用户社交、绿色参与、休闲娱乐等功能。将小罐茶变为大家小时候都玩过的七巧板。七巧板是中国传统智力玩具,可以创造出1600多种以上的图形。让每一位拥有小罐茶的用户,都可以有一个自已定义、自己创造的小罐茶产品。在使用完茶叶后将小罐赋予绿色参与性。在小罐茶包装中放置几粒茶树盆栽种子。七巧板中较大的3个小罐可作为植物的载罐,较小的4个小罐可作为浇水翻土的工具,给用户更深层次的情感体验。

湖光山色

独特和创新是吸引Z世代和千禧一代消费的重要因素。本设计方案以“新茶、甘泉、洁器”为设计原则,将茶山与活水作为设计来源融合在饮茶器具之中,以湖光山色佐茶。 希望为年轻的消费者打造独特的消费体验,品尝袅袅香茶时,湖光山色俱在眼前,有身临其境之感。

不是茶具

当今时代,年轻人居住方式,生活方式都与上一代人有着较大的的差异,“泊寓”“青年公寓”等产品更多的成为了年轻人居住的选择,这些产品集中体现在“客厅”面积的缩小和多功能化。 传统功夫茶需要的大茶几正在消失,年轻人室内布置也偏向于简化,难以摆放功夫茶具,喝茶的习惯也难以在年轻人中传承下去。 因此,我们希望消解传统茶具呆板的印象,并且赋予其多功能的属性,让他在非使用时段的时候可以“不是茶具”,转化成新式的小客厅所需要的一个简单的装饰物。 并且我们把整个茶具套装压缩至较小的尺寸,考虑到拼接与组装,让这套“不是茶具”泡茶之余还充满了装饰性与趣味性。

The uniqueness of The Chimney is its utilization of modern technology to further expand Tea drinking culture and to attract a much wider population group. This molecular filter is extremely similar to the breathable fabric membrane commercially known as Gore-Tex. With the teapot’s multi-chambered design, aroma from heated tea leaves will travel through the molecular filter to steeping tea to allow for incense infused tea. Through this novel utilization of incense and tea, The Chimney targets a very wide range of consumers ranging from the younger demographics to those experienced in the traditional tea culture. Additionally, The Chimney is made from almost 100% of recycled material including recycled cork and aluminum which allows the tea set to be both environmentally friendly and exceptionally light in weight. The colors of The Chimney have been strategically designated based on popular trending colors in recent years. In all, The Chimney seeks to add a new layer to the tea drinking culture and encourages individuals to explore their own unique combinations of aroma and taste.

Research shows that young people prioritize experiences over material goods, and since most millennials are participants in the workforce, they lead busy lifestyles from working to travel. This set gives the user a luxury experience by keeping its tea in line with Xiao Guan Tea’s quality and elegance. The shape of the pot allows the user to hold and easily pour the tea into the cups. With a square base, the tea canisters can be stacked against each other in the convenient carrying case, but still benefit from Xiao Guan Tea’s mastered freshness using nitrogen filled food-grade aluminum. Keeping sustainability in mind, this tea set uses recyclable aluminum and glass. These materials keep the tea hot to infuse in the pot at a constant temperature which creates the best results possible. Glass allows the user to see the beautiful colors of the tea as it seeps which seemed to be very popular in the best-sold kettles last year. FIFTY SHADES OF TEA: 五十道茶色

"Fifty Shades of Tea" is a modern take of the Chinese tea culture that aims to create a tea drinking experience that reinforces the quality of tea leaves, the convenience of a healthy routine, and the appreciation of tea drinking. Firstly we start by foreshadowing the exceptional quality of Xiao Guan Cha. Original canisters became tea-cup-like shapes, with the lid representing the color of the tea, as if the packaging is a cup of aromatic drink already. The cap is also semi-translucent, emphasizing that one is allowed to have a sneak peek of the leaves. The consumer is then drawn or lured by the packaging to brew a cup of tea of their own. Next is the box that carries the tea canisters, focusing on the convenience, we designed it so that when one withdraws a can of the box, the next one immediately refills in. The box can be stationed on the table or attached on to the wall. As for the tea set, it is minimal yet sophisticated, with a mirroring silver touch all around, the emphasize is the reflection of the tea drinking occasion. Suitable for the modern era. The goal is to reintroduce tea drinking as a practice that can be relaxing, socializing and a healthy routine for modern people.

In order to better integrate tea into modern people's life, we have made our products younger, simpler and better in quality. The whole tea set is divided into two parts: canned tea and tea set. On the package of small cans, we use illustrations to adorn the package, express the character of tea with colors, enrich the interest of tea with pictures, and make the overall feeling of tea more relaxed and pleasant. On the box packing, in the solid color on the seal to ornament, steady and fashionable. The packaging pattern is bright in color. In the selection of tea set, it chooses a more stable and warm color, which integrates with the natural color of wood. No matter how old you are, you can see and feel life in tea.

茶的文化博大精深,源远流长,但是现如今,因为传统的泡茶方式和品茶模式,茶越来越不受到年轻人的关注。这样的问题,可以通过包装和造型来改变。我的设计想在保留茶文化精髓的前提下,添加潮流的元素,给年轻人一种“你可以很潮,但喝茶更潮”的感觉。 我的中心思想是让小罐茶茶具,包装的设计更加的智能化,人性化和环保化,在此基础上添加美观的元素。 “食茶咯”是我们设计的主题和名称,这个灵感起源于唐代赵州从谂禅师“不如吃茶去”的典故,故事讲述从谂禅师在观音院禅修时,不论应答何人何事,他都只答“吃茶去”,由此可见“吃茶去”是一种豁达的胸怀,一种洒脱的人生。于是,我提取了“吃茶去”三个字,考虑到传统文化应当与现代文化相结合,我使用了广东方言,将“吃茶”叫做“食茶”,将“去”改作“咯”,这样一来,这个名称不仅富有寓意,并且接地气,朗朗上口。同时,我利用几何元素来塑造观音的形象,用能突出特点的各种图形,尽量以简单、大方、新颖的方式呈现logo。

The design idea is to present a new and colorful tea set like a beautiful painting with frame which can be positioned easily on every table or sideboard. Main inspiration of the concept „Color Edition“ are the beautiful mountains and forests, the origin of tea. The tea related traditional nature motives have been translated into a fresh and innovative design language. It was very important to create a strong and playful interaction to stimulate the interest in tea culture of the young generations: The mountains on the tea package can be „opened“ and then the user can „harvest“ his own tea. The presenting frame is made of sustainable bamboo and the idea is to reuse it also with other tea editions like for example the silver edition. Together with the tea cups, which are hided under the package, the system forms a beautiful sculptural object and stages the tea set inside the modern living environment.

Food grade aluminum tea jar maintains the aesthetics of traditional shapes interpreted in a fresh, modern way. The jar ring can hold accessories to create unique and fun experience. Ceramic tea making vessel represents a mixture of Gai Wan and a traditional teapot. A double layered structure of the vessel allows grabing and holding without the risk of getting burned. The final product includes: a tea tray incorporated into the packaging, tea cups with cup holders, tea jar and a tea making vessel. It is an easy product producing. The scheme also can be developed more to more details. Also, we tried to focus on Minimal design approach which is one of the popular today trends.

Luga is a tea set influenced by people’s tendencies from the millennials to the 80’s fashion trends that are resurrected nowadays. Pastel colours and dynamic graphics are the most attractive elements of this trend that are considered in the design process of Luga. The bright colour has given the tea set an eye-catching appearance that attracts customers. In addıtıon, the wide range of colours applied in this product can motivate the target group to become a part of the tea culture. The ceramic is the most suitable material for the tea set elements. The teapot has 900 ml, the cups have approximately 300ml of liquid capacity. In order to keep the tea fresh, the jar should be made by pressing aluminium cans that should be covered tightly after filling.

Through observation, our team came up with “sharing, customization, convenience and options" as keywords for the tea set concept development. We got insights that millennials love to have various choices because they want to be in control of situations and life. Therefore our team came up with the concept of creating multiple sections to accommodate their choices of tea flavors. The users can use the pot as a tumbler to enjoy their tea everywhere as well as a traditional teapot. Through interviews and observation, we recognized that Chinese millennials love to carry hot water wherever they go. Thus, the two compartments inside the tea jar/tumbler allow users to put whatever liquid they want while drinking Xiao Guan Cha tea at the same time without disruption of their original habits. The built-in pair of filters is one portion tea size, so users can easily know the amount of tea to use for optimal taste. The locking mechanism allows users to lock the tea jar/tumbler while they are not using it. For the tea jar, there are two compartments inside for consumers to pick more than one type of their favorite teas. Inspired by the four seasons that related to tea harvest, our team created a color swatch for the graphic design of the entire tea set and packaging. We want to use our designs to inspire millennials to appreciate and try different types of Xiao Guan Cha tea, while allows the products to blend into their everyday life seamlessly.

For this design I chose to replicate beautiful water patterns that show up in nature. Ripples on a surface of water from raindrops. This pattern is in constant motion and perpetually changing. Ripples on the surface of water represents the state of tea culture today. Water is the timeless essential ingredient used in tea. However the perception of tea is constantly changing. This pattern creates something sophisticated and modern looking while drawing the viewer back to the roots of tea culture. A design that caters to modernity while making people gaze into the past tradition of the tea ceremony. The vitality at the heart of the community; water. Meaning is conveyed through simplicity and duality, providing XiaoGuan Tea with a new brand image that will grow and bring more to enjoy the beauty in tea culture.

This design introduces a new way of making and drinking tea through an altered user journey, where the packaging becomes the tea filter. This smart solution eliminates the steps of transferring the tea leaves and cleaning the tea filter, and so simplifying the use. The packaging foil wraps around the aluminum tea jar to airtight seal the filter holes and keep the tea fresh. This wrapping foil gives the new jar a recognizable and iconic look and a unique, “peeling” way of opening. This design is more than just a new style or shape, but aims to actually improve the user experience and create a new brand culture.

C-Tea (Compact Tea Set) is a set of tea that increases portability with a variety of binding structures and compact sizes. It is characterized by the presence of potteries, kettles, teacups, and tea tray in a small space, all the necessary tools for the tea. The teacups and kettles of CT combine into one, creating the shape of a tumbler that is easy to carry. The kettle also has two cups, one up and the other down, and the tea leaves can be put in the lid below. This structure makes tea leaves easier to remove. Xiao Guan Cha's new package is 'Edge.' This 'Edge' design allows you to check the color of the product from any angle. Also, the overall lower luminance creates a more refined image.

In this day and age, the tastes and social attributes of tea have changed a lot. We analyzed why the popularity of tea among the younger generation is lower, and came to the core idea: to weaken the sense of ritual and reduce the sense of distance. We found that the neon lights and wine culture seemed to be more close to the life of the young generation, so we organically linked these two, aiming to express the feeling of enjoying tea and intoxicated in tea, relaxed and energetic. Thus, we named the design as "Mingdin",which means "tea tincture in tea, comfortable chic."

The form is influenced by containers of old with an attempt to revive the forgotten form but with a different material that is Aluminium infused with a tiny glass shard. The set is inspired in the traditional glasses and cups specific to each culture with colours and textures which meet, however, the lines of modern design. The colours have been chosen to fit the traditional chromatic conception of each culture. A single container makes possible for the consumer to prepare different types of tea in only one pot. Its pieces are designed to be used both as a set and separately.
