一方面,“重新定义的山水”是对美丽乡村这幅山水画的重新定义,把公厕作为画卷中的一部分,体现了对农村发展方向的再定义:文明,健康,美丽;另一方面,将中国式山水作为公厕建筑的灵感来源,用本土的竹材勾勒“山”的轮廓,用可视化的污水净化体系来重新定义“水”的可能性,让公厕建筑兼具实用、美观和科普意义。 On the one hand,REDEFINED LANDSCAPE means a redefinition of the beautiful country of China.As part of landscape,public toilet reflects the redefinition of the developing direction of country:civilized,healthy and beautiful. On the other hand,use Chinese landscape as inspiration for village public toilet,delineate the contour of mountains with local bamboo,use visible water purification system to redefine the possibility of water,and let public toilet have special meanings:function,beauty and popularization of science.

从乐领文化中对于院落空间的打造及量体的开放可以看出其对于土地及自然的重视。设计中通过打开墙面,引入森林自然元素,重新构建人与自然的关系。其中采用干式堆肥生态厕所设计,粪尿分流处理,避免对环境造成污染,另外形成的堆肥可以就近提供茶园养分。屋面雨水收集系统可以提供厕所清洗及盆栽植物的灌溉用水。 LeLiving shows great concern about nature and field by rebuilding the courtyard and opening the traditional house. The concept of this project is to reconstruct the relationship between human and nature by opening the wall of traditional toilet and introducing natural elements. Composting ecological toilet with urine-separated system is adopted to prevent from pollution. Besides, compost could be using for nourishing tea trees nearby the toilet. Roof water harvesting system ensure the water for cleaning and irrigation.

本设计提出“隐于市,归于原”的概念,建筑形式上汲取茶园村传统的坡屋顶形式,材料使用上,主体结构采用当地常用砖石砌筑,厕所实用功能部分采用镜面不锈钢作为立面材料,投射出周边树木林立的空间肌理,模糊了内与外的界限,使之与周边环境融合;同时,墙面通过砖的不同砌筑方式,形成一定的镂空效果,既区别于村里其他房屋的墙面,又可以将周边古树景观引入厕所。同时整体施以白色涂料,形成一栋干净纯净的白色小房子,使之既融于村落里白色墙面的肌理,又可以区别于传统村落灰色屋顶。其中在白色镂空墙面与镜面钢材之间形成一个光影斑驳的灰空间,古树,水塘映入眼帘,让人们在这静美之地得到片刻安宁与沉淀,就连等待,也不会荒凉时光……

设计说明:遂昌是个拥有1800年建县历史的美丽山城,被称为“世外桃源”,遂昌的旗山更是有“旗山之野,侠隐之地”之称。正所谓“智者乐山,仁者乐水”,自古以来,古人就常常以低调之态与山水相融。 而此次的遂昌县茶园村厕所的项目,我们也希望建筑以一种谦卑的态度消隐于自然。我们选用当地的材料和建构方法,运用自然的诗意空间和质朴的建筑语言,塑造一个简单质朴的生态厕所。场地位于一个 隐匿于古树群和茶园岭的优美之地,场地东西分别建设有茶园村文化馆和武馆,南北分别是古树群和茶园景观。我们选用当地的石材、木材以及自然光、声、风作为建构语言,通过虚实相生和多维感官的交织 体验让使用者感受到乡野的质朴之美,让建筑隐退一侧,还自然以最大的话语权。

本设计位于遂昌县龙洋乡西滩村茶园自然村,我们的设计以纯粹的建筑形体融入当地居民建筑。在设计初期,我们根据茶园村社会人类调查报告提出了“归园”的主张。通过对体块的切割、错位、分割构成公厕的形体和立面的虚实关系,试图在共享交流与保证隐私之间达到一种适于乡村生活的平衡。 在我们看来乡村是建筑文化传承的绝佳之地。在保护生态环境、维护历史风貌的前提下,使用现代化手段尽可能改善村民的日常生活。我们对本设计的情感基调定位是对乡土的热爱与回归自然的渴望,一种“性本爱丘山”的人文情怀的表达。基于我们的概念,将从传统建筑中提炼出的旧元素材料与新的构筑手法统一起来,呈现出一种建筑情怀的新标达“复得返自然”。

THIS PROPOSAL AIMS TO CREATE A PUBLIC TOILET SATISFYING THE DAILY USE OF BOTH LOCALS AND VISITORS IN RURAL AREA. WITH THE COMPACT-ARRANGED FLOOR PLAN, THE PROGRAMS AND STRUCTURE FUNCTION TOGETHER EFFICIENTLY. THE WAITING ZONE UNDER THE ROOF CANTILEVER CREATES THE SPACE WHERE THE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN LOCALS AND VISITORS MAY HAPPEN. THE HIGH WINDOWS ABOVE OF THE RESTROOM PROVIDES USERS WITH THE FRESH VIEWS OF THE CUBICLE INTERIOR. THE MAIN LOADING MATERIAL IS BRICK WHICH IS WIDELY USED IN THE LOCAL BUILDING ACTIVITIES. WITH THE STEEL FRAMING AND CORRUGATED PLATE ABOVE IT, THE WATER PROOF CONSTRUCTION IS ABLE TO BE LARGELY SIMPLIFIED. AS FOR THE VENTILATION ISSUE, MECHANICAL VENTILATION AND ITS RELATED CONSTRUCTION, WHICH IS USUAL IN THE BUILDINGS IN URBAN CONTEXT, IS USED TO ENHANCE THE SANITATION CONDITIONS OF THE PUBLIC TOILET IN COUNTRYSIDE.

Core Sample proceeds from a simple observation: the rugged face of the Qishan cliff side is echoed in the weathered tile roof tops of Chayuan village. This project aspires to address both of these contexts, landscape and building, by occupying a space between the two. This is achieved by repurposing the common roof tile. Instead of roofing, here the tiles are stacked along three sides to affect the appearance of a crisp monolithic volume of earth. With time, natural weathering will add character and rich textures to the tile surface, allowing it to gracefully recede into its context with each passing season. Core Sample is a 24 square meter reinforced concrete box punctured at opposite corners to form entrances. It is wrapped on three sides by stacked roof tiles, bringing its exterior dimensions to 7 x 3.8 meters. The rear facade is left unadorned and wholly functional. Wood bi-fold doors at the toilet entrances strike contrast with the stacked tile and provide generous openings for air and light. A clerestory of operable awning windows along the west wall facilitates cross ventilation. A single bubble skylight over the lavatory area admits copious daylight and lessens the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours. Inside the box is an efficient layout that choreographs the concealed routing of plumbing back to a central utility closet. The foundation proposed includes a crawl space for the routing of plumbing under slab. This allows fixtures to be mounted at finish floor level to improve accessibility for the elderly and disabled. The interior walls are clad in a saturated yellow tile that make oblique reference to the subtle ochre tones of the village houses.

Sometione the mist surrounding the mountainside, the blue-tiled roof of a double roof is loom, which is “The End of Jiang-hu." The toilet which called The End of Jiang-hu conveys a different experience of living in seclusion: dismantling the toilet functions, to enhance the ventilation and privacy, the toilet is divided into two separate single rooms, just like leaving partners; introducing patios in the middle of the building, and then introducing plants, sunlight and air, to improve lighting and ventilation, it enables people to be connected with nature, just like hiding in the mountains; conforming to the tradition of the village, the two single rooms have their own sloping roofs, then connecting them to each other to generate a curved roof that emphasizes the entrance and drainage, just like changes all around; With seats, the sun is covered by roofs and grilles, and people can rest here, just like smiling at everything in lives. The spiritual space has imagery characteristics in the rural villagers' behavior . It is represented in the form of faith and is a space for common creation and sharing. Toilet Station is an effective expansion of the open space under the constraints of the geographical environment where the openness, equality and inclusiveness of the space are demonstrated. No matter the local villagers or outsiders, everyone can rest here. Whether the rich or poor, anyone can find comfort and shelter for the power of the gods as long as you like. Because the gods are blessed with every one of the villages and surrounding areas. Therefore, it provides people with free and harmonious relations between each other and between people and space. It becomes a spiritual homeland playing a role as a "psychic clinic" in rural communities. Toilet Station requires very simple construction skills which could be produced in local villages. The building material is elm wood which is the same material as the traditional dwellings in this region merging the toilet with the surroundings. Each toilet unit builds the minimum size for basic lavatory requirement in order to reduce the construction cost attempting to leave as much available existing fields as possible, allowing for a flexible use according to one's need.

本设计立足于茶园村的地理环境,自然风貌,以厕所水循环作为设计的重点,借由河流、高差、毛竹实现厕所的清水利用与废水排除,同时借助基地紧邻茶园的位置,进行粪肥利用,实现公厕的绿色环保。建筑在形式上呼应原有建筑形态,同时考虑乐领改造方案的特点,采用坡屋顶及白墙黛瓦,实现厕所与基地建筑的呼应。建筑内装采用传统木构架及木质家具,营造古色古香的茶园韵味。

We take the most common typology from the village - a pitched roof building. The four corners are cut into eight by four circles. A drink-water tap is set on the facade. We hope this building can also play a role in the collective life of the village. The windows are mirroring from outside. They grant the privacy of the users and bind the building with the surroundings. In the mountains, this proposal stands quietly and brings a little poetics to the everyday life of the village.

见山读水——遂昌茶园新村公厕设计

实地调研后,我们选择了地势较高、靠近流水、正对东南方向古树群和远山的一块场地。游客进入厕所时,沿着场地原有石子路走,一边走石子路一边俯瞰下方的梯田,颇有一番野趣。 我们希望游客在使用这个厕所的时候可以感受到周围的自然环境,所以我们将厕所的入口以及洗手池区域设计成了核心空间,洗手池向外凸出,与左右的竹子形成一个取景框,让游客在洗手的时候近可看水、远可观山。 设计时我们也充分考虑了当地特色,用到了遂昌民居常用的夯土墙、木头屋架、瓦屋顶。同时也使用了当地非常有名的毛竹,在起到装饰作用的同时也保证了游客在走廊行走时的私密性。

This design is based on tea garden village, with good natural ecological environment, in order to activate the tea garden village, we mainly innovate in the material form and open field of vision .Slope roof is used to connect with local architectural form, and at the same time we use the combination of wood and steel node, decorated with a mirror at the bottom of the glass reflected the surrounding scenery to make blocks look like floating upon the ground,.In addition, different from the traditional closed toilet , new toilet is intimate and at the same time introducing natural landscape space by big windows.

置身于乡村意味着可以跟大自然亲密的接触,置身于建筑亦可如此。此方案形制上灵感来源于树木,在空间上,呈开放式立面 ,空气对流无阻,南北通透。在材料上,希望是在地的,也希望是可以呈现时间轨迹的,所以选择了混凝土,楠竹,以及夯土墙做为主要的建筑用料。 在结构上,由两个三角形立柱通过楼板与悬挑枝干形成一个稳定体,从而支撑起整个建筑的重量。三角立柱除了结构作用外也承担无障碍卫生间及给排水,电线等综合管线布置等功能。

By transforming the traditional language of pitch roofs, the juxtaposition of the volume creates natural lighting and air ventilation. The building skinned with glossy aluminum panels reflects the agricultural landscape and articulates the ambiguity between inside and outside, artificial and nature. Modernism gently makes its move of invasion of the traditional village while the project almost seems vanishing into Mother Nature. Water, the most relevant resource, is recycled by a rain-storing system to be economical. Its circulatory system with ecological pools and organic fertilizers are a respect to nature and provides production to the community. With the project, we try to subtly give the village a brand new look by combining contemporary architectural practices, construction methods, and the wisdom of the ancestor.

The simplicity of the architectural form the shows a great respect to the context and the wish to be part of it. Towards the forest stretches a row of independent rooms, presenting a gesture of respect on individuality. Each room contains an intimate space with natural light and comfortable facilities. Mirror and glass let the surrounding landscape be part of the building itself and offer an ever-changing entry towards the building. In contrast with the transient character coming out of mirror and glass, concrete establishes a firm relationship between the soil and the new building. The vertical textures of wood and concrete corresponds to the figure of trees.

本次项目公厕设计选址为茶园村西南茶园种植基地与河道之间。由于该选址得天独厚的风光,因此选择了主要功能空间被廊道空间环绕这样的较为开放的平面布置。公厕使用者可以从两侧廊道或者厕所中间贯通的空间进入。面向茶园的一面是戏水池,耕作的茶农可以在这里盥洗、清洗工具和休憩。中间贯通的空间除了洗手池外还有休息座椅,无论是游客还是茶农都可以在方便之后、休息之余在开敞的空间中欣赏到怡人的风景。 This project public toilets design is located in the southwest of the tea Garden Village,between the plantation base and the river.Considering the unique scenery of the location,we prefer a more open layout that the main function space is surrounded by corridor.The users can enter the toilet through the corridor or the middle connects.The side facing the plantation base is a samll pool,farmers can clean tools ,wash and rest here.Besides the sink, there's a rest seat in the middle connects.Whether tourists or tea farmers can enjoy the beautiful scenery when they are taking a rest after using the toilet.

We in turn position the bathroom as a connection back to the cycles of life through the symbolic and functional use of water. A rain collection system in a province with high precipitation rates becomes a sustainable and poetic answer to activate the pavilion. The calming sound, touch, and fleeting reflections of water is a valuable resource of inspiration and function central to the organization of the pavilion. The local brick exterior seeks to be a humble, complementary companion to the dominant landscape, while its abstract simple form defines a clear ideal human monumentality. The white interior creates a blank backdrop for social activities. The circular enclosure is an open resting area centered around a fountain, while the rectangle provides two private bathrooms. The intersection of the two primary shapes forms the main entrance; a threshold condition with a communal sink under a skylight. The entrance exemplifies the chinese landscaping concept of borrowed scenery which creates an rich ambiguous string of small individual scenes, hinting at the carefully placed openings and framed views that mediate the surrounding context as a continuation of the interior. By focusing on simple daily acts; using the toilet, washing hands, and sitting, the pavilion is an intimate social space that promotes a sensible awareness of place. Inspired by the modest structures of scholars and hermits which throughout history has provided an alternative space for disengagement from daily life, we propose this water pavilion as an authentic contextual tourist destination.

As far back as the Zhou dynasty, terra cotta has been used as roof materials. Because of its durability and versatility, terra cotta roof tiles carried through the establishment of Chinese traditional architecture and became a symbolic building material. Today, these earth colored tiles are still widely used in the construction of residential buildings in the rural areas of China. Other than roofing, stacks of terra cotta tiles have been used extensively in traditional garden architecture as privacy screens. We propose to wrap the exterior facade by stacks of locally made terra cotta tiles, rendering a dynamic yet private screen. While allowing a constant airflow, this design achieves an intriguing architectural appeal, seeking its roots to the local culture. The villages are situated in mountain ranges and semi-rainforest climate zones with high humidity and medium level of sunlight. A screen wall perforates the traditional solid wall, and allows light to penetrate. During the day, natural sunlight lits the interior spaces and drastically reduces needs for artificial lighting. At night, light glows from the inside, making it a beacon on the paths to home. To further enhance privacy, a brick wall separates the main entrance from the stalls. This double corridor creates an important sequential experience from entering, to washing, and toileting. This unique architectural experience is not only functional but also dignifies the wrongfully expected and often unpleasant experience of public toilets. We hope by creating this airy, hygienic, and light filled space, we are onto a revolutionary path to change the quality of Chinese public toilets.

茶园村得天独厚的自然环境让人印象深刻,如何通过建筑的介入,引导人们感受自然,并形成粗朴而原始的空间氛围成为了设计的出发点。 用地位于一片树林和田野的交界处, 葱郁的树林是环境最为突出的特征。与一般为了结合自然而尽量将建筑开敞的做法不同,我们首先用墙体围合出一个私密而稳定的内向空间。然后利用倾斜的屋顶朝着树林打开一个反日常的开口,将外部树林景观引入室内。水平空间的封闭性与头顶空间的开放性形成强烈的对比,随处可见的自然在室内变得突出而珍贵,因而得以强化人们对外部自然的感知。与此同时,木质结构与屋顶亮瓦的组合,在建筑内部形成了光影斑驳的抽象的“树影”体验。穿过屋顶开口所见的“真实自然”,与身体所在的“抽象自然”在感知上被叠合,进一步促成了内外空间的交融。建筑由此成为了联系人与自然的纽带。

茶园村景色优美,本方案希望营造干净舒适的并且多功能的公厕系统。首先选择了当地老建筑常用的木材作为围护结构,针对卫生间阴暗潮湿角落易结蜘蛛网灰网的问题,利用坡屋顶将围护结构打开,使角落消失,同时风、阳光可达。利用交叉空间形成小庭院,玻璃维护形成高温区,达到热压通风的效果,外围走廊,考虑使用者使用时间和需求,作出一系列的木格删,用以摆放农具,扩大功能,达成小公厕,小公社的概念。

In order to follow the flow above, toilet (architecture) has been transformed restrictively to bring surrounding things into it. If it is so, we are questioning what the beyond is. This tea garden village, having rich landscape and nature resources, is known as ‘a retreat away from the modern world’. However, this village is the representative example of rural area which has been formed, kept and transformed with Time (History), Habit (Culture) and Condition (Landscape). Hence, Neo-Toilet will be the extension of experiences in existing tea garden village. Visitors are able to arrive at the proposal’s site after passing tea plantation field and charming landscape. Proposal is melted down in the village (surrounding landscape) through local features, techniques and materials as if it was there. When visitors naturally come into the inside, they will meet the disparate space and feel tension and chaos. But it will be temporary erasure to prepare for final destination. When opening the final door, tension and chaos will be sublimated to the moment of being the one (物我一體). Being the one (物我一體) means that human and nature become one thing metaphorically. Visitors can feel the nature in final space without any disturbance. In addition, proposal finally creates new perception of reality (Beauty of Tea garden village).

本建筑坐落遂昌县茶园村西部,故名:“茶山西阁”。建筑外观借鉴了中国传统建筑,同时又加入了新的设计例如将传统的屋顶抬高架空,除了可以加强通风还可以更好的采光并节约用电;整体外观为了融合当地建筑造型简单且建设难度小同时大量采用了旧的板材和石材,把一些就得材料得到应用;地下部分利用了水循环系统将雨水通过地面石块泥土的过滤,除掉杂质收集起来以节约水资源。 设计的亮点在于洗手区位置的“框景”利用遮挡与开放把景观展现出来,当人抬头向远处望时会看到最美的景致,一年四季各有不同,晴天雨天各有特色,如同一幅天然不加任何装饰的中国风景画。

With the rapid urbanization in China, spending vacations in rural areas becomes one of the most popular destinations. The project name, PAuseVILION is a compound word with a combination of PAUSE and PAVILION, announcing a slow pace lifestyle. Besides fulfilling all the functions as a toilet, the design acting like a pavilion, encourages people to stop by, take rest and enjoy the views along the trail. The project is a hybrid of a local housing parti and a pavilion typology. The idea is to break down a typical toilet into 3 small volumes – male restroom, female restroom and accessible restroom, and then reconfigure them to create an internal pathway. This approach can enhance the connectivity and flexibility with the surrounding context, and elevate the users’ intimate experience with curated views. At the same time, it fosters natural cross-ventilation for each restroom. The design fully considers the sewage treatment as a local and affordable solution. By utilizing a single-family biochemical pool, buried under the agriculture field, the sewage can be naturally digested to an irrigation standard. Not only the architecture parti tries to blend into the existing fabric, the structure system and material palette also tries to reflect the local context. The design proposes a rammed earth and wood frame construction system which is very popular in Zhuchang. 本方案所在的村落有群山环抱,风景优美。村落风貌保留完好,整体布局与山脉 协调统一。于是,本方案采用了传统村落建筑常用的材料,既容易得到,又能够 和山水相协调。 随材料相同,然手法不同,希望为人们提供一个审视乡村和山水的新视角,于是 采用了和民居若即若离的态度。 本建筑形态与其侧方山脉向对应,限定出它与山之间的空间,并通过路径和视线 设计,引导山脚下的人从此地回望山村、回望群山。使人们通过上洗手间的活动 得以机会,来置身于山村和山水的的当代思辨之中。

本设计地块位于遂昌县茶园村西南,周围,距离村民居住地区较远,临近河水树林和梯田,公厕主要供游客使用。 公厕较为开敞,主要由男卫生间(2隔间2小便池1洗手池)、女卫生间(2隔间1洗手池)、多功能卫生间(母婴及残疾人等使用)和管理室四部分构成。造型上以当地的梯田为灵感,墙体顺应梯田弯着并形成自然的入口通道并兼顾私密性。白色曲线墙面和木材壁板的运用使得建筑显得简约朴素,材料在当地简单易得。屋顶与茶园村村民住宅的坡屋顶相呼应,同时又富于变化,特殊材质可以使得阳光从其间穿透进来,形成斑驳的光影效果。

时代的变迁印证着历史的发展,历史赋予我们文明与传承,茶园村的发展史正是中国乡土社会发展的一个缩影,上承托原始的农耕文明,下传递现代的工业文明。而近年来随着时代的发展、经济结构的转变,人们的生活习惯与思想方式也随之改变。先进文化带给村民以更好的经济形式及生活品质,但是茶园村的承载能力不足导致大量先进文化的快速涌入造成文化的吸收不良,从而导致了方言的丧失、原始经济方式衰落、村落结构空心化等诸多问题。茶园村需要的不仅是公厕而已,而是在顺应时代发展的前提下一个承托古今文化的载体,带给我们归属感。公厕是一座座村史馆,用以寄托和愉悦我们的精神家园。

本次公厕设计灵感以“茶”出发,造型呼吁茶园景区特色,提取茶叶的外形塑造建筑体块,公厕如同三片茶叶矗立与茶园之中。公厕位置远离村民住宅,公厕用水是需要解决的首要问题,遂昌属亚热带季风气候区,雨量充沛,故本设计考虑收集雨水来满足日常公厕用水需求。公厕排泄物则可用于茶园养分施肥。

本案位于浙江遂昌县茶园村西南侧,处于本身对此构筑物的理解,其实它相当于是一个“以点带面”的项目,我结合当地场所与文化特质(茶文化主导工作与生活场景的发生),从“茶文化”的本源:以茶为中心衍生的诸多艺术与文化事件的这种特质,就好像以细胞为单位进行分化从而形成不同性状的生物外形表达一般,所以我以“分化中的细胞”这个语法或者概念去与茶文化的本质进行关联,这可以保证在最广阔的文化和语境框架之下贴合场所特质。分化体由内核(卫生间),外皮(构筑物表皮)与分化物(突出的异质题)构成,整个构筑物在模拟细胞分化的过程时刻意达到了类似于假山这个古典艺术意向的形态。力求达到与传统文化和当地自然特色的统一。

More Than A Toilet

“More Than A Toilet” is a regional design for Suichang. 1. It suits the environment and represents the local culture. The roofs there are sloping so we regard it as an element. The shape seems to be normal but it is into the place and very practical with enough toilet cubicle for people in need. 2.It is a green building. The toilet itself can run independently so we add a solar power supply, a Bio-gas processing and a rainwater recovery unit into the design. 3.It is a place to rest. Not only tourists but also villagers working nearby can have a rest .

The Fountain Stone

Public services are the measure of village, town and city livelihood. It is vital for us to be able to access well designed, located and maintained facilities such as public conveniences, toilets, washing facilities and spaces of rest. These provide immediate retreat and comfort to locals and visitors. Our Project, The Fountain Stone, celebrates the activities surrounding a water source. Two concrete sinks replicate a natural water source - a spring out of rock - and are split over two levels. The first is on the upper level, for washing, drinking and cooling down, and the larger sink is placed within the bathroom below. The presence of the concrete connects the two levels whilst also allowing the water to fall onto a hard and durable surface. Around the concrete sinks a red timber wall unfolds, becoming structure, stair and wall. Red being a colour of National significance, also a colour of urgency, has a direct and impactful visibility. With a bright, strong and bold appearance marked across the cascading green landscape, this is seen easily from the approach to, and within the village. Placing the facilities towards the south path provides access to villages and tours, whilst also allowing the site to have panoramic views of the village and landscape. The Fountain Stone is designed to reveal itself upon approach, with the large red-painted timber directing hikers, walkers, tours and villagers towards the concrete water source and bathroom. The bathroom presents itself below the visible shelter, using the unique quality of the changes in ground height and the features of the Suichang agricultural landscape to reveal a shaded and private bathroom. Within such a vast but simultaneously local landscape, a toilet provides numerous functional services, but by using materials which compliment the landscape we celebrate moments of tranquility, retreat and comfort to locals and visitors alike.

遂昌公厕设计是关于一场共建共享的探索,一次乡土生命延续的乡村营造。 一个遗落在大山怀抱中的传统村落,曾经的桃花源。但随着城市化的进程,村落逐渐衰落进而呈现半空心化的现象。田园将芜,人归何处? 陌上叶灵感来源于茶园村出产的一片茶叶,结合当地传统的搭建手法设计出具有茶园村显著特征的乡土公共厕所。再者,以公厕设计为契机,将传统生态农业耕作模式通过线下实践或微信小程序达到可视化和宣传效果。设计试图将陌上叶打造为茶园村的标志性建筑与明信片。 陌上叶通过自下而上的思维与操作模式使这个日趋衰落的村落从空间与经济上得以新生。在设计手法上陌上叶保留乡土记忆同时又符合现代社会的发展需求。

本案选取基地西南侧区位的公厕选址进行设计。选址紧靠东北侧茶园梯田的林木区域,与茶园有一定高差。设计方案以“高差”为出发点,将公厕作为林木区景观栈道的延申部分,通过公厕整体设计构建出抬升标高的“景观平台”,取得与高标高处茶园的视线通廊。 建造取材于村内改造所剩废弃砖块与自然木材,整体结构依托架空于林地的景观栈道,厕所下部除基础外架空处理,内置消解粪肥处理系统,同时整装顶部格栅利用自然通风原理进行室内通风,力求设计建设节能生态公厕。 空间设计通过休憩与如厕流线分离,给予林区中的公厕以额外可休憩、观景的舒适体验,同时厕内空间在满足私密需求条件下视线尽可能打开,充分利用自然景观提升如厕体验。

如厕很日常,现代忙碌的生活,如厕已变成了一种休息的行为的时候…… 通常等待的过程让人难以忍受,还有难闻的气味和没有提供歇息空间等等,这都让目前的厕所暴露了许多可以改善的空间,希望未来在遂昌县落成的厕所不仅是能解决以上问题的厕所,同时能为当地带来名声,展现本土文化特色的场所。 本案灵感来源于中国传统建筑中的平面布局,通过对核心建筑空间与围廊的语义重构,实现厕所革命,在日常满足厕所如厕等基本功能前提下,结合山地特色融入观景台等元素,为旅客提供一个完全意义上可以休息的地方。 因此本案借用树来牵引空间重心,营造处一个可以让人等待的厕所。故名:“树所”

我们将乡村公厕理解为改善村民生活质量的私密空间,同时也是促进村民交往的公共场所。设计以茶园村传统的坡屋顶住房为原型,通过结构的介入构建一个当代的空间范式。 传统的坡屋顶房子,以向心排布的结构柱承托大屋顶,限定出檐下的建筑空间。设计通过偏转中心柱,以伞形木结构单侧悬挑,四向外伸,下挂的钢索将地面轻轻吊起。 结构参与的空间构成巧妙的定义了功能上的两组对立关系。作为私密部分的厕所成为偏心伞形结构柱的所在,而钢索吊起的飘板地面定义了公共的开放空间,人们可以随意的坐下交谈。

STRATEGY: The pavilion opens to outside, and the platform and roof are objected from the cliff to reach the nature. It also creates the first impression of a "hanging pavilion" in the village for the tourists. The toilet is embedded underground and create a second impression of nature which is more private and peaceful.

厕所东面的一片高大茂密的树林是场地中十分珍贵的景观资源,设计希望人在上厕所的过程中能有一种置身山林的野趣,让厕所对自然呈现一种开敞的姿态。大策略上是通过消解一般厕所“走廊——隔间”的空间模式,将封闭的外墙打破,以自然为廊,以树木墙,以天窗为眼,以水为镜。 由于树林和厕所间的步行道的存在,与上厕所行为隐私性的考量,隔间内通过开斜向高窗的方法,让人直接感受到大树的笼罩。设计将洗手台置于开敞的廊下,形成一个对面树林游客开放的面,人在低头洗手的过程中通过底面水池的反射也能瞥见树的倒影。
