Changjiang Yu, Resident Professor and Executive Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences in Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School,Deputy Director and Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology in Peking University, Deputy Director at Peking University’s Institute of Sociology and Anthropology. He mainly studies at urban and rural regional development, social governance, art community, nation & folk culture, and social work.

He has visited various countries and regions, including European countries, America, Japan, Russia, India, Singapore, Korea, Turkey, Vietnam, Nepal, South Africa, Mexico, Maldives, UAE, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, boasting rich experience of society and teaching.

From 1984 to 1988, he studied at the Department of Sociology of Peking University and received his bachelor degree. During1988-2004, he worked in the Center for Sociological Research and Development Studies of China, and Peking University’s Institute of Sociology and Anthropology, and occupied himself in researching urban and rural development and national relations. And at the same time, he studied for his doctorate with the guidance of his mentor, Xiaotong Fei. He once served as research assistant, associate researcher, and associate professor. In 2004, he was dispatched to Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School to start the discipline of Sociology, serving as Resident Professor. Since 2006, he has been promoted from Dean Assistant, to Deputy Dean, and to Executive Dean, taking charge of the Graduate School-related affairs. From 2013 to 2017, as an Administrator, he had been incharge of founding the discipline of Financial Media.
